New content has been added to the Music and Travel/Tourism samples

Published this month in More Living are articles on Teafarm in the Cowichan
Valley and Texada Island's Cranky Heron Cottage. In July's issue of
The Beacon is my preview of the Phil Dwyer Music Festival in Qualicum
Beach.

Recently completed are articles on Thetis Island's Cufra Cliffs Cottage for
More Living, Petroglyph Provincial Park in Nanaimo for Harbour Air
Magazine and Afro-Mumanzi's World Music Summer Camp in Errington
for The Beacon.

I'm delighted to be working on some publicity materials for Parksville's
Rough Diamonds Creative Arts Society and Nanaimo's Bold Rhythm
Records. In the pipeline for The Beacon in the coming months are articles
on the Vancouver Island Opera's 10th Anniversary production of
Die Fledermaus, and singer-songwriter Gerry Barnum's new album.
For More Living I'll be penning a piece on Applewood Cottage in Courtenay,
and a personal account of my emotions as I approach 50-years old.
I am hoping the latter will be embellished with illustrations by Nanaimo artist,
Robert Plante. I am also exploring the possibility of a children's book
collaboration with Comox artist, Naomi teWinkel. It's time to have some
real fun with this, I feel...
