One sheets, (compact) biographies and press releases are publicity documents commonly used in the music, arts and entertainment industries.

As the name implies, a one sheet is a single page text, containing information about a product such a CD. Press releases are similar and can also enhance the promotion of a product, but are usually intended as announcements for events and performances.

I have produced many of these, including one-sheet biographies, mostly for free in support of friends’ record label-bound demo recordings, self-distributed independent releases and live performances. In addition, I have produced nearly 300 “emailouts” for live performances when I was a concert promoter in Brighton.
